Electrical, Mechanical and Instrument Team

The EM&I Team manage the deterioration of assets and optimise investment and maintenance activities to minimise the cost and risk of failure. They also identify and manage critical spares and look for cost effective and sustainable solutions.

The EM&I Team also provide a reactive response service with the ability to resolve mechanical and electrical problems quickly and effectively, reducing any downtime of plant and processes. The team carry out installation work for treatment and dewatering processes, ranging from pump and generator moves to lighting walkways.

Other services our EM&I Team can provide are:

  • Dedicated response teams for fault finding and corrective maintenance
  • Inspection and testing solutions for regulatory requirements
  • Onsite solutions for all temporary power and lighting requirements
  • Maintenance strategies to ensure safety, legal and statutory obligations are fulfilled
  • Identify critical spares, optimise available spares, and look for continued ways of improvement
  • Adopt new technologies to help reduce energy consumptions and carbon footprint 

All work on electrical apparatus is controlled by our Senior Authorised Person (SAP) Team under the Electrical Mechanical Safety Rules. Our SAP Team approve all Work Authorisation Forms (WAF) prior to any work starting and review the risk assessments and method statements relevant to work. 

PERMIT MANAGEMENT

Our Permit Management Team provide a coordination service of all onsite documentation and are responsible for best practice and compliance.

They also provide the following services:

  • Providing permits - Excavations, hot works, confined space and working at height
  • Asset Management - Capturing operations around the utility asset base
  • Providing expertise - Setting the standards on safe construction operations and watching briefs
  • Asset condition - Monitoring of utility networks

FACILITIES MANAGEMENT

Our Facilities Management Team are responsible for the maintenance and services of facilities to protect people, processes and buildings, while providing a sustainable service solution to support the safety and functionality of building infrastructures and real estate. Our experience in facilities management includes the luxury Monkey Island Estate on the River Thames in Berkshire, the five-star Gainsborough Bath Spa Hotel and Thermae Bath Spa.
